European Climate Risk Assessment : The EUCRA report builds on and complements the existing knowledge base on climate impacts and risks for Europe, including recent reports by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the Copernicus Climate Change Service and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, as well as outcomes of EU-funded research and development projects and national climate risk assessments. Auenstrategie Österreich 2030+
Die neue Auenstrategie Österreich 2030+ wurde anlässlich des heurigen Ramsar-Jubiläums präsentiert und ist ein Zukunftswerk für den ökologischen Hochwasserschutz. Grundlage für die Überarbeitung stellte die Aktualisierung des österreichischen Aueninventars dar. Insgesamt wurden da-bei 1.033 Auenobjekte kartiert, die sich über 100.000 Hektar erstrecken. (c) Naturschutzbund Die „Auenstrategie für Österreich 2020+“ wurde vom BMLFUW entwickelt und im Mai 2015 von den neun Landesräte und Minister Rupprechter unterschrieben. Expertinnen und Experten für Auen haben dabei Ziele, Prinzipien, Maßnahmen und Wege für eine langfristige Sicherung der heimischen Auen und Flusslandschaften entwickelt. Nun soll diese Strategie in Zusammenarbeit mit allen Betroffenen – insbesondere den Grundbesitzern – partnerschaftlich umgesetzt werden. Quelle: naturschutzbund.at
Flood risks and environmental vulnerability
This report focuses on the role of floodplains in flood protection, water management, nature protection or agriculture and the impact of hydromorphological alterations on the ecosystem services that floodplains provide. The aim is to support the implementation of the EU Floods Directive (EU, 2007), in particular with regard to environmental impacts and how these can be linked to climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction.
